Minding Your Mitochandia
Dr. Terry Wahls is a clinical professor of medicine at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine in Iowa City, Iowa, U.S.A., where she teaches internal medicine residents in their primary care clinics. She has also published over 60 peer-reviewed scientific abstracts, posters and papers.
Dr. Terry Wahls spent nearly four years in a wheelchair due to secondary progressive multiple sclerosis. Now, because of the intensive, directed nutrition and neuromuscular electrical stimulation protocols she developed, Dr. Wahls rides her bicycle to work and live an active life.
I found her Tedx presentation and interview in the Bulletproof Executive Podcast to be just s inspiring as it was enlightening. I would love to hear what you think.

Some great ways to incorporate more fruits and vegetables into your diet is to blend them into a smoothie. Health blogger Linda Wagner has a TON of great recipes for you to try. Here’s one of my favorites.
Blend in any kind of blender:
- 1/2 frozen banana
- 1/2 bag frozen strawberries (5oz)
- 1.5 cups Almond Milk Kefir
- 1/2 tsp spirulina
- 1 handful baby spinach
- 2 droppers Vanilla Stevia
From someone who watched her mother decline with Alzheimers for 10 years, a grandmother with Parkinsons, a friend with MS and children who are gluten intolerant, I found this story absolutely fascinating and probably the most influential in making me change habits.
